KPV Nasal Spray is supplied ready-mixed in a metered nasal spray bottle, 10mg (166mcg/spray). Available as 1, 3 or 5 spray bottles. Supplied strictly for research use only.

About KPVNasalSpray

KPV nasal spray in Canada is supplied by Horizon Peptides as a pre-prepared 10 mg research spray bottle, available singly or in 3-bottle and 5-bottle packs. KPV is a tripeptide fragment of alpha-melanocyte-stimulating hormone studied in inflammatory-signalling models.

KPV is named directly for its three residues, lysine, proline and valine, and corresponds to the carboxyl-terminal end of alpha-MSH. With a molecular weight of 304.37 it is among the smallest sequences stocked, and that size is central to why it is studied: researchers use it to ask how much of the parent hormone’s signalling survives in so short a fragment.

Notably, the fragment does not carry the pigmentation-associated activity of full-length alpha-MSH. That separation lets laboratories examine one branch of the hormone’s described signalling in isolation from another.

Its brevity also makes it a convenient control in comparative studies. Where a longer sequence produces a signal, running the three-residue fragment alongside it helps establish how much of that signal depends on the larger structure.

Key research areas

  • Inflammatory-pathway and cytokine regulation models
  • Melanocortin fragment structure-activity research
  • Epithelial and mucosal barrier studies
  • Comparative work against full-length alpha-MSH
  • Short-peptide stability in prepared solution

Research areas describe how this material appears in published laboratory work. They are not claims about any effect in people or animals.

Other KPV formats and related research peptides

KPV is also stocked as the KPV lyophilized vial and as KPV capsules. It appears combined with a second sequence in BPC-157 and KPV capsules and forms part of the Klow blend.

Research background

KPV is a tripeptide, lysine-proline-valine, that forms the last three residues of alpha-melanocyte-stimulating hormone (alpha-MSH). Its effects on fever and inflammation have been studied in cell cultures and in rabbits, mice and rats, including several models of colitis.

KPV Research What the published literature reports, with every source linked

A summary of published laboratory research. It is not a claim about any effect in people or animals.

Testing and documents

Batch documents are published on the Lab Results page as they become available, searchable by product or batch.

Lab Results

What a certificate of analysis shows

  • Identity

Mass spectrometry checks the measured molecular mass against the expected one: is this the right molecule.

  • Purity

HPLC separates a sample and reports the target as a share of everything detected.

  • Batch

A certificate describes one batch. The batch on the document should match the one you are asking about.

  • Date and analyst

The document should say who carried out the analysis and when.

Not every batch has a published document. Where one exists, it is listed; this page says nothing about results.
