KPV is supplied as lyophilized powder in sealed vials, in 10mg. Available as 1 vial, 3 vials or a 10-pack. Supplied strictly for research use only.

About KPV

KPV peptide in Canada is supplied by Horizon Peptides as a lyophilized powder in sealed 10 mg research vials, available singly or in 3-vial and 10-vial packs. KPV is a tripeptide fragment of alpha-melanocyte-stimulating hormone studied in inflammatory-signalling research.

KPV is three residues, lysine-proline-valine, with a molecular weight of 342.43. The name is simply the single-letter code for those amino acids, and the sequence corresponds to the last three residues of alpha-MSH.

Working with a fragment this short answers a specific question: how much of a parent hormone’s described signalling survives when almost all of the molecule is removed. Alpha-MSH runs to thirteen residues, so KPV retains less than a quarter of it.

Critically, the fragment does not carry the pigmentation-associated role of the full hormone. Separating those two described properties is the main reason the tripeptide is studied on its own rather than only as part of the intact sequence.

Key research areas

  • Inflammatory-pathway and cytokine signalling models
  • Fragment-versus-parent hormone comparative research
  • Epithelial and intestinal barrier studies
  • Minimal-sequence peptide design research
  • Immune-signalling assays in cell culture

Research areas describe how this material appears in published laboratory work. They are not claims about any effect in people or animals.

Other KPV formats and where it appears

KPV is also stocked as KPV capsules and a KPV nasal spray, and is combined with a second sequence in BPC-157 and KPV capsules. It forms one quarter of the Klow blend.

Research background

KPV is a tripeptide, lysine-proline-valine, that forms the last three residues of alpha-melanocyte-stimulating hormone (alpha-MSH). Its effects on fever and inflammation have been studied in cell cultures and in rabbits, mice and rats, including several models of colitis.

KPV Research What the published literature reports, with every source linked

A summary of published laboratory research. It is not a claim about any effect in people or animals.

Testing and documents

Batch documents are published on the Lab Results page as they become available, searchable by product or batch.

Lab Results

What a certificate of analysis shows

  • Identity

Mass spectrometry checks the measured molecular mass against the expected one: is this the right molecule.

  • Purity

HPLC separates a sample and reports the target as a share of everything detected.

  • Batch

A certificate describes one batch. The batch on the document should match the one you are asking about.

  • Date and analyst

The document should say who carried out the analysis and when.

Not every batch has a published document. Where one exists, it is listed; this page says nothing about results.

Shipping and handling

  • Dispatch

Orders placed before 2:00 PM ET, Monday to Friday, typically ship the same business day.

  • Shipping

Express shipping is free on orders over $300 before tax. Other options and their prices are shown at checkout.

  • Delivery

We ship to addresses within Canada. A tracking link is emailed when the order ships.

  • Storage

Keep lyophilized material sealed, dry and away from light, in a cool place or refrigerated. Let a cold vial reach room temperature before opening so moisture does not condense inside it.

What does KPV stand for?

The single-letter codes for its three residues: lysine, proline and valine.

Which part of alpha-MSH is it?

The final three residues of the thirteen-residue hormone.

When does an order ship?

Orders ship from within Canada, Monday to Friday. Orders placed before 2:00 PM ET typically ship the same business day, and a tracking link is emailed when the order ships. See the shipping policy.

Can an order be returned?

All sales are final. If an item arrives damaged or defective, contact us within 72 hours of delivery with your order number and photos. See the return policy.

What is this product supplied for?

Laboratory research use only. It is not for human or veterinary consumption and is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any condition. The purchaser is responsible for handling it in line with applicable laws and laboratory safety practice.
