BPC-157 is a synthetic fifteen-residue peptide corresponding to a partial sequence of body protection compound, a protein characterised in gastric juice. Its sequence is Gly-Glu-Pro-Pro-Pro-Gly-Lys-Pro-Ala-Asp-Asp-Ala-Gly-Leu-Val.
What the capsule format changes is not the molecule but the handling. A lyophilized vial arrives as powder and leaves preparation to the laboratory; a capsule arrives at a fixed quantity already measured out, which removes one source of variation between samples in comparative work.
